David J. Morin, Care Technology

Dave is a serial entrepreneur, executive and startup consultant. He has co-founded multiple software companies including Cielo MedSolutions, a population health management technology firm, Impellia, a human performance data analytics company and Mountain Pass Solutions, a provider of workflow and information management solutions for university and health system human resource functions. He is an advisor to Reaction Technologies, a provider of athletic safety and performance training tools.

Through his consulting firm, Care Technology Advisors, Dave provides advisory and entrepreneur-in-residence services to technology organizations, universities and researchers. Recent projects have included the founding of the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine’s internal organization to support its faculty on innovation and the dissemination of research-funded healthcare software solutions into the clinical market, the development of a strategy to commercialize a wide-range of digital health technologies for a Michigan-based University, the support of health care delivery organizations in establishing digital health strategies and the advisement of early-stage firms on a wide range of business building topics.

Dave is currently serving as the Interim CEO of Samaritas, one of Michigan’s largest nonprofit health and human services agencies that serves over 20,000 people statewide through programs such as family preservation, foster care, refugee resettlement, homeless transitional housing, independent and assisted senior living and skilled nursing, memory and rehabilitation care. He is on the board of MichBio, a non-profit focused on advocacy and resources for the Michigan bioindustry and is a founding member of MedHealth, a Michigan-based regional collaboration of healthcare stakeholders.
