I graduated from Eastern Michigan University, with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations in December 2020, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications at Eastern Michigan University.
I currently work at Black Girls CODE (BGC) as a digital marketing specialist. BGC is a not-for-profit dedicated to building pathways for young Black girls to embrace the current tech marketplace as builders and creators by introducing them to skills in computer programming and technology. In addition to the work I do at BGC, I also operate my own freelance PR business, Sydney Pope Public Relations (SPPR). I’ve had a handful of clients, and my portfolio continues to grow. SPPR offers expertise in social media, advertising, marketing, media relations, public speaking, communications, and graphic design.
